The Houston Food Bank is at the forefront of efforts by food banks to use food as a catalyst – in partnership with social service programs – to help individuals achieve their goals. Sharing in their vision for the future of food banking, Food for Change is an innovative strategy that goes beyond emergency food assistance to address the root causes of hunger. Hearts and Hands of Baytown is privileged to be a Food for Change Fresh Market serving both on the healthcare and educational fronts. We are an unrestricted market giving access to program participants across the network.
Food for Change is by appointment only, Tues/Fri 10am-2pm, Wednesdays 10am – 12pm and the 2nd Saturday of each month 10am-12:00pm.
Participants may call 346-715-2209 to schedule; a Food for Change ID is required to be served in this program.
